La contea di Dimmit (in inglese Dimmit County) è una contea dello Stato del Texas, negli Stati Uniti. La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 9 996 abitanti.[2] Il capoluogo di contea è Carrizo Springs.[3] La contea è stata fondata nel 1858 ed in seguito organizzata nel 1880.[4] Prende il nome da Philip Dimmitt,[5] una figura importante nella Guerra d'indipendenza del Texas. L'ortografia del nome della contea e l'ortografia del nome della persona differiscono a causa di un errore appunto ortografico nel disegno di legge della creazione del nome della contea.
