La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 42 750 abitanti.[2] Il capoluogo di contea è Burnet.[3] La contea è stata fondata nel 1852 ed in seguito organizzata nel 1854.[4] Il nome della contea deriva da David Gouverneur Burnet, il primo (provvisorio) presidente del Texas.

Burnet County (/ˈbɜːrnɪt/ BUR-nit) is a county located on the Edwards Plateau in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2020 census, the population was 49,130.[1][2] Its county seat is Burnet.[3] The county was founded in 1852 and later organized in 1854.[4] It is named for David Gouverneur Burnet, the first (provisional) president of the Republic of Texas.
