Barkley Township is one of thirteen townships in Jasper County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 900 and it contained 362 housing units.[1]

History

Barkley Township was established in 1838. It was named for Henry Barkley, Sr.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 59.92 square miles (155.2 km²), of which 59.9 square miles (155 km²) (or 99.97%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.026 km²) (or 0.02%) is water.[1]
