Yarwell is a village on the River Nene in the extreme east of the English county of Northamptonshire near the border with Cambridgeshire. Yarwell is one mile north of Nassington, .mw-parser-output .frac{white-space:nowrap}.mw-parser-output .frac .num,.mw-parser-output .frac .den{font-size:80%;line-height:0;vertical-align:super}.mw-parser-output .frac .den{vertical-align:sub}.mw-parser-output .sr-only{border:0;clip:rect(0,0,0,0);height:1px;margin:-1px;overflow:hidden;padding:0;position:absolute;width:1px}7+1⁄2 miles (12.1 km) west of Peterborough and its county town of Northampton is 30 miles (48 km) to the south-west.[1] The name Yarwell is derived from 'the spring where the yarrow grows'.[citation needed] At the time of the 2001 census, the parish's population was 316 people,[2] reducing to 294 at the 2011 Census.[3]
