Clare ist eine Stadt und eine Verwaltungseinheit im District West Suffolk in der Grafschaft Suffolk, England. Clare ist 40 km von Ipswich entfernt.[1] Im Jahr 2011 hatte es eine Bevölkerung von 2028 Einwohnern.[2][3] Clare wurde 1086 im Domesday Book als Clara erwähnt.[4] Es ist die kleinste Stadt in Suffolk.[5] Es gibt die Ruinen von Clare Castle.[6]

Clare is a market town on the north bank of the River Stour in Suffolk, England. Clare is in southwest Suffolk, 14 miles (23 km) from Bury St Edmunds and 9 miles (14 km) from Sudbury.[1] Clare won Village of the Year in 2010 and Anglia in Bloom award for Best Large Village 2011 for its floral displays in 2011. In March 2015, The Sunday Times and Zoopla[2] placed Clare amongst the top 50 UK rural locations, having "period properties and rich history without the chocolate-box perfection – and the coach trips".
