Sport

Castleford est une ville de rugby à XIII. Le club local des Castleford Tigers, créé en 1926, dispute la Super League dont il est le membre fondateur depuis 1996. Le club évolue depuis 1927 au Wheldon Road. La ville possède également deux autres clubs de rugby à XIII : Castleford Lock Lane et Castleford Panthers.

Castleford is a town within the City of Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. It had a population of 44,209 at a 2020 population estimate.[1] Historically in the West Riding of Yorkshire, to the north of the town centre the River Calder joins the River Aire and the Aire and Calder Navigation. It is located north east of Wakefield, north of Pontefract and south east of Leeds. Castleford is the largest town in the Wakefield district after Wakefield itself.
