    Posof (georgisch ფოცხოვი/Pozchowi) ist eine Stadt und ein Landkreis der Provinz Ardahan im Nordosten der Türkei. Der georgische Name lautet Postkhovi, dann später Duğur und aktuell Posof. Der Name Posof bezeichnet eigentlich eine Region. Der Ort Posof wurde nach dieser Region benannt.

    Posof (Georgian: ფოცხოვი, Potskhovi, formerly Georgian: დიღვირი, Dighviri) is a district of Ardahan Province of Turkey, in the far east of the country, 75 km from the city of Ardahan. It has a border crossing with neighboring Georgia at Türkgözü. Posof is well known for its handicrafts particularly its ornate silver belts and knives.

    Посо́ф[1][2] (тур. Posof, Дугу́р[3], Duğur, Поцхови, груз. ფოცხოვი) — село в Турции и одноимённый район сельского типа ила Ардахан в Восточной Анатолии, на крайнем востоке ила, в 75 километрах севернее города Ардахан. Село расположено в верховьях реки Поцхови (Пософчай[4]), левого притока Куры, у подножия Арсиянского хребта, отделяющего бассейны Чороха и Куры. Население 6805 человек по данным 2018 года.
