Kağıthane est un des 39 districts de la ville d'Istanbul, en Turquie. Le quartier est sur la rive européenne de la ville au nord de la Corne d'Or. Il est traversé par la rivière Kağıthane Deresi qui débouche au fond dans la Corne d'Or. Il tire son nom des fabriques à papier présentes dans le quartier dont la présence est attestée au XV^e siècle[1].

Kağıthane liegt auf der europäischen Seite der Großstadt und ist seit der Gebietsreform ab 2013 flächen- und einwohnermäßig identisch mit dem Landkreis.

Kâğıthane (Turkish pronunciation: [caˈɯthane]) or Glykà Nerà (Γλυκά Νερά Greek pronunciation: [ɡliˈka neˈra], 'sweet waters') is a neighbourhood at the far northern end of the Golden Horn on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey. It extends along the shores of the Alibeyköy and Kağıthane rivers that discharge into the Golden Horn. Formerly a working class district, Kağıthane is now part of a major real estate development area.
