    Kulu ist eine Stadtgemeinde (Belediye) im gleichnamigen Ilçe (Landkreis) der Provinz Konya in der türkischen Region Zentralanatolien und gleichzeitig ein Stadtbezirk der 1986 gebildeten Büyükşehir belediyesi Konya (Großstadtgemeinde/Metropolprovinz). Seit der Gebietsreform 2013 ist die Gemeinde flächen- und einwohnermäßig identisch mit dem Landkreis. Die im Stadtlogo vorhandene Jahreszahl (1923) dürfte auf das Jahr der Ernennung zur Stadtgemeinde (Belediye) hinweisen.

    Kulu is a town and district of Konya Province in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. According to the 2011 census, the population of the district is 55,573 and 22,844 of that number live in the town of Kulu.[3][4] Kulu is situated approximately 110 km from Ankara and 150 km from the city of Konya. With a substantial Swedish-Turkish community, not few of whom are from this region, Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt visited the city once.

Esta aproximadamente a unos 110 km de Ankara y tiene 28.024 habitantes, todo el distrito tiene 72.279 habitantes (según el censo del año 2000), se encuentra a casi 1000 metros de altitud. Es una de las ciudades de mayor desarrollo en Turquía, debido a los fuertes lazos económicos con la comunidad Europea.
