Ampitiya (Sinhala: අම්පිටිය) is a suburb of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located within the country's Central Province.^{[citation needed]}

Ampitiya is administratively divided into the two section of Ampitiya north and Ampitiya South.^{[citation needed]}
