Luena ist eine Gemeinde in der spanischen Autonomen Region Kantabrien. Die Gemeinde besteht aus einem Tal, das von den kantabrischen Bergen nach Norden verläuft, bis es das Tal des Flusses Pas erreicht. Es ist ein ausgesprochen ländliches Gebiet, in dem sich die traditionelle Wirtschaftstätigkeit rund um die Viehzucht entwickelte. Die Gemeinde leidet unter starkem Bevölkerungsverlust.

Luena is a municipality located in the autonomous community of Cantabria, Spain. According to the 2007 census, the municipality has a population of 831 inhabitants. Its capital is San Miguel de Luena. The municipality consists of a valley which runs from the Cantabrian Mountains to the North, until it reaches the valley of the river Pas. It is a markedly rural area, where the traditional economic activity evolves around the cow.

Luena es un municipio situado en la comunidad autónoma de Cantabria (España), en la comarca del Pas-Miera. Sus límites son: al norte con Arenas de Iguña, Santiurde de Toranzo y Corvera de Toranzo, al oeste con Molledo y San Miguel de Aguayo, al este con Vega de Pas y San Pedro del Romeral, al sur con Campoo de Yuso y la provincia de Burgos a la que accede la carretera N-623 por el puerto del Escudo.
