Carme is a municipality in the comarca of the Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. The town is in the middle of a valley, which is surrounded by the Orpinell range (751 m.) and the other by the Collbàs range (544 m.). The village is at the bottom of the valley and is surrounded by forests. The capital of the region of Anoia, Igualada, is just ten kilometers from the village, while other municipalities like La Pobla de Claramunt or Capellades are about five kilometers from the village. Currently the village has approximately 800 inhabitants, but in holiday seasons this figure may be slightly increased.[citation needed][es] Carme
Carme es un municipio de la comarca de Noya, situado en la provincia de Barcelona. Concretamente, el pueblo se encuentra justo en medio de un valle, que está compuesto por un lado por la sierra de Orpinell (751 m) y por el otro por la de Collbàs (544 m). El pueblo se encuentra anclado en el fondo del valle, en medio del bosque y sutilmente apartado de las grandes poblaciones. La capital de la comarca de Noya, Igualada, se encuentra exactamente a diez kilómetros del mismo pueblo, mientras que otros municipios como La Pobla de Claramunt o Capellades se encuentran escasamente a unos cinco kilómetros de la villa. Actualmente el pueblo cuenta aproximadamente con unos 800 habitantes, pero en temporadas de vacaciones esta cifra se puede ver ligeramente aumentada.- [fr] Carme (Catalogne)
