Buitrago del Lozoya ist ein Ort und eine Gemeinde (municipio) mit 1.884 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Januar 2019) im Norden der Autonomen Gemeinschaft Madrid in der Mitte Spaniens. Der alte Ortskern wurde im Jahr 1993 wegen seiner historischen Bauten als Kulturgut (Bien de Interés Cultural) in der Kategorie Conjunto histórico-artístico eingestuft.[2]

Buitrago del Lozoya (Spanish pronunciation: [bwiˈtɾaɣo ðel loˈθoʝa]) is a municipality of the autonomous community of Madrid in central Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Sierra Norte. The town is one of the few in the community that have maintained its walls, which are of Moorish origin (11th century) and have been restored in the 15th century. It lies on a peninsula surrounded by the Lozoya river.

Buitrago destaca por la conservación de su antiguo recinto amurallado y su casco urbano está declarado bien de interés cultural.
