Arroyomolinos ist eine zentralspanische Gemeinde (municipio) mit 31.396 Einwohnern (Stand: 1. Januar 2019) im Südwesten der Autonomen Gemeinschaft Madrid. Trotz ihrer Nähe zur Autobahn der Extremadura war sie nicht vom Bevölkerungswachstum der 1970er Jahre betroffen, das andere Orte in der Gegend wie Móstoles oder Fuenlabrada betraf. Zu Beginn des 21. Jahrhunderts hat jedoch der hohe Preis für Wohnraum in Madrid zusammen mit der spärlichen früheren Stadtentwicklung der Immobilienspekulation Tür und Tor geöffnet und die demografische Entwicklung angekurbelt, wodurch sich die Bevölkerung in den letzten Jahren vervielfacht hat

Arroyomolinos es un municipio de España situado al suroeste de la Comunidad de Madrid. A fecha de 1 de enero de 2021 su población era de 33 687 habitantes;[2] en los últimos años el municipio ha evolucionado de una configuración rural a la típica de una ciudad dormitorio, pues ha experimentado un crecimiento demográfico importante. Su término se encuentra parcialmente incluido en el Parque Regional del curso medio del río Guadarrama y su entorno.
