Chaman (Urdu: چمن) ist eine Stadt sowie Verwaltungssitz des Qilla Abdullah Districts in Belutschistan, Pakistan. Chaman liegt im Süden der Grenze zu Afghanistan und verbindet sich über die Grenze hinweg mit der afghanischen Stadt Spin Boldak in der Provinz Kandahar. Der Ort ist einer der drei Grenzübergangspunkte zwischen Pakistan und Afghanistan, neben Torkham am Khyberpass und Ghulam Khan. Die Bevölkerung von Chaman setzt sich hauptsächlich aus dem Volksstamm der Achakzai zusammen, die zu den Paschtunen gehören.[1] Laut dem Zensus von 2017 leben in der Stadt 123.191 Personen.[2][en] Chaman
Chaman (Balochi, Pashto and Urdu: چمن) is a city and recently claimed as a new district of Balochistan named Chaman District as it was earlier a part of district Qila Abdullah District located on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. It is the capital of Chaman District, Balochistan, Pakistan. It is situated just south of the Wesh–Chaman border crossing with the neighbouring Kandahar Province of Afghanistan. After the capital Quetta, Chaman is the fifth-largest city and tehsil in the Pashtun majority northern part of Balochistan, and is also Balochistan's fifth-largest city.- [it] Chaman
