According to the 1467-68 Ottoman defter, R'žaničino (Rezhança) appears as being inhabited by mixed Orthodox Slavic-Albanian population. Some families had a mixed Slav-Albanian anthroponomy - usually a Slavic first name and an Albanian last name or last names with Albanian patronyms and Slavic suffixes.
The names are: Stanisha son of Gjon, Bogdan son of Gjon, Dimitri son of Domana, Tanush son of Brajoshin, Dapço son of Pepa, Brajush son of Brajan, Brajosh son of Bogdan, Radislav son of Brajosh, Dimitri son of Goja.[1]
According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 855 inhabitants.[2] Ethnic groups in the village include:[2]
