Cuautla ist mit 154.358 Einwohnern (2010) die drittgrößte und zweitwichtigste Stadt im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Morelos und befindet sich beinahe in dessen geografischer Mitte. Cuautla ist Verwaltungssitz des Municipio Cuautla mit 175.207 Einwohnern (Stand 2010). Die Stadt verfügt über schwefelhaltige Heilquellen und liegt in einer von Zuckeranbau dominierten landwirtschaftlichen Region, etwa 1300 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel.[en] Cuautla, Morelos

Cuautla, Morelos, is a city and municipality in the Mexican state of Morelos, about 104 kilometers south of Mexico City. In the 2010 census the city population was 154,358.[3] The municipality covers 153.651 km2 (59.325 sq mi). Cuautla is the third most populous city in the state, after Cuernavaca and Jiutepec.
