Geschichte
Ramos Arizpe wurde 1577 als Valle de las Labores gegründet, 1606 umbenannt in Valle de San Nicolás de la Capellanía und schließlich nach Miguel Ramos Arizpe (1775–1843) benannt. Zur Stadt erhoben wurde Ramos Arizpe im Jahr 1980.

Ramos Arizpe (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈramos aˈɾispe]) is a city and seat of the surrounding municipality of the same name in the Mexican state of Coahuila. Ramos Arizpe is located 11 km from the state capital of Saltillo. It is part of the Saltillo metropolitan area. The city reported a population of 48,228 in the 2005 census; the municipality had a population of 56,708. Its area is 5,306.6 km2 (2,048.9 sq mi).[es] Ramos Arizpe

Es una de las ciudades progresistas del estado, pues la industria manufacturera ha marcado un ámbito muy importante en esta región. Ramos Arizpe forma parte de la zona metropolitana del sureste del estado de Coahuila junto con Saltillo, capital y el municipio de Arteaga, debido a la gran actividad industrial que se encuentra en este municipio el Aeropuerto Internacional "Plan de Guadalupe", de esta zona metropolitana.
