Barby (IPA: .mw-parser-output .IPA a{text-decoration:none}[ˈbaʁbiː] ) ist eine Kleinstadt im Salzlandkreis in Sachsen-Anhalt. Bis zur Neubildung der Stadt am 1. Januar 2010 aus den Gemeinden der ehemaligen Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Elbe-Saale (außer Gnadau)[2] hieß die Stadt Barby (Elbe). Gnadau wurde am 1. September 2010 nach Barby eingemeindet.[2] Barby ist von der Regionalplanung der Planungsregion Magdeburg als Grundzentrum ausgewiesen.[3][en] Barby, Germany
Barby (German pronunciation: [ˈbaʁbiː] (listen)) is a town in the Salzlandkreis district, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It is situated on the left bank of the River Elbe, near the confluence with the Saale, approx. 25 km (16 mi) southeast of Magdeburg. Since an administrative reform of 1 January 2010 it comprises the former municipalities of the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Elbe-Saale, except for Gnadau, that joined Barby in September 2010. The Barby Ferry, a reaction ferry across the Elbe, links Barby with Zerbst-Walternienburg.[fr] Barby (Allemagne)
