    Wörth am Rhein ist eine verbandsfreie Stadt mit 18.274 Einwohnern (Stand 31. Dezember 2021) im Landkreis Germersheim und im Südosten von Rheinland-Pfalz. Sie liegt gegenüber von Karlsruhe am linken Rheinufer. Die Ansiedlung des Mercedes-Benz-Werks Wörth, des größten Lkw-Montagewerkes der Welt, und einer Raffinerie in den 1960er Jahren führte dazu, dass die Einwohnerzahl von etwa 3500 im Jahr 1960 auf 9000 Mitte der 1970er Jahre stieg. Große Wohngebiete und ein neues Zentrum auf dem Dorschberg entstanden in der Folge der Industrieansiedlung. Seit 1977 trägt Wörth die Bezeichnung „Stadt“.

    Wörth am Rhein (German pronunciation: [vœʁt] (listen)) is a town in the southernmost part of the district of Germersheim, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the left bank of the Rhine, approx. 10 km west of the city centre of Karlsruhe and just north of the German-French border. Daimler AG's biggest truck production plant (approx. 2,8 square kilometer) has been located in this town since 1960.
