Sohland an der Spree (amtlich: Sohland a. d. Spree, obersorbisch Załom) ist ein Ort und die zugehörige Gemeinde im Südosten von Sachsen an der Grenze zu Tschechien. Mit fast 7000 Einwohnern ist es eine der einwohnerstärksten Gemeinden des Landkreises Bautzen und auch eines der größten Dörfer Sachsens. Sohland liegt direkt an der Bundesstraße 98 mit Anschluss an die Bundesautobahn 4 über Bautzen. Zahlreiche Umgebindehäuser, darunter das älteste Umgebindehaus des Landkreises Bautzen, prägen das Ortsbild.

Sohland an der Spree (German) or Załom (Upper Sorbian) is a municipality in the district of Bautzen in Saxony, Germany near the border of the Czech Republic in a region called Lusatia. The river Spree flows through the village. Together with some smaller villages (Wehrsdorf, Taubenheim) it constitutes one of the biggest villages or communities with about 7,700 inhabitants. The most iconic monument of the village is the "Himmelsbrücke" (Heaven's Bridge); it is said that the bridge will break when someone tells a lie while standing on it.[citation needed]
