    Auerbach in der Oberpfalz (amtlich Auerbach i.d.OPf.) ist eine Stadt im Oberpfälzer Landkreis Amberg-Sulzbach, circa 45 Kilometer nordöstlich von Nürnberg. In der Stadt und in ihrem Umkreis wurde jahrhundertelang (bis zum Jahr 1987) hochwertiges Eisenerz abgebaut.
