    Die Hansestadt Attendorn ([.mw-parser-output .IPA a{text-decoration:none}ˈatn̩ˌdɔʁn] mundartlich meist [ˈatn̩ˌdɔːʳn] Aussprache?/i) ist eine mittlere kreisangehörige Stadt in Nordrhein-Westfalen im Kreis Olpe im südlichen Sauerland mit rund 25.000 Einwohnern. Überregional bekannt ist sie durch die Tropfsteinhöhle Atta-Höhle und den Biggesee. Seit dem 19. März 2012 darf Attendorn offiziell den Zusatz Hansestadt führen.[2]
