Annweiler am Trifels ( Aussprache?/i) ist eine Stadt und gemessen an der Einwohnerzahl die drittgrößte Ortsgemeinde im rheinland-pfälzischen Landkreis Südliche Weinstraße. Sie ist zugleich Verwaltungssitz der gleichnamigen Verbandsgemeinde. Annweiler ist ein staatlich anerkannter Luftkurort und gemäß Landesplanung als Mittelzentrum ausgewiesen.[2]
