Villard-de-Lans ist eine französische Gemeinde mit 4234 Einwohnern (Stand 1. Januar 2019) im Département Isère in der Region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. Der Ort im Kanton Fontaine-Vercors liegt rund 19 Kilometer südwestlich von Grenoble (Luftlinie) auf einer Hochebene im Vercors-Gebirge, flankiert von den Bergen Roc Cornafion (2049 m) im Osten und Grande Moucherolle (2284 m) im Süden. Das Gemeindegebiet liegt im Regionalen Naturpark Vercors.[en] Villard-de-Lans
Villard-de-Lans (French pronunciation: [vilaʁ də lɑ̃]; Occitan: Lo Vilar de Lanç) is a commune in the Isère department of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in southeastern France.[3] The town is also situated in the Vercors Massif. It was the administrative centre of the eponymous canton until the departmental elections of 2015. After the elections, Villard-de-Lans and the communes of its former canton were all incorporated into the new canton of Fontaine-Vercors. The town remains the seat of the Community of Communes in the Vercors Massif (CCMV).[es] Villard-de-Lans
