A seguito della riforma approvata con decreto del 24 febbraio 2014[1], che ha avuto attuazione dopo le elezioni dipartimentali del 2015, dall'aprile 2015 è stato accorpato al Cantone di Reillanne.

Der Kanton Banon war bis 2015 ein französischer Wahlkreis im Arrondissement Forcalquier, im Département Alpes-de-Haute-Provence und in der Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Er umfasste neun Gemeinden, Hauptort (frz.: chef-lieu) war Banon. Die landesweiten Änderungen in der Zusammensetzung der Kantone brachten im März 2015 seine Auflösung. Sein letzter Vertreter im conseil général des Départements war von 2004 bis 2015 Jean Louis Adrian.[en] Canton of Banon
The canton of Banon is a former administrative division in southeastern France. It was disbanded following the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015. It consisted of 9 communes,[1] which joined the canton of Reillanne in 2015.[2] It had 2,989 inhabitants (2012).[1][fr] Canton de Banon
