The municipality covers an area of 3.12 square kilometres (1.20 sq mi), and has a population of 373 (as of 2021).[2]

Kozlany lies approximately 14 kilometres (9 mi) east of Třebíč, 42 km (26 mi) south-east of Jihlava, and 156 km (97 mi) south-east of Prague.
