Hostěrádky-Rešov lies approximately 23 kilometres (14 mi) south-west of Vyškov, 16 km (9.9 mi) south-east of Brno, and 202 km (126 mi) south-east of Prague.
The first written mention about Hostěrádky is from 1270. Rešov was founded in 1787. The two formerly separate villages are urbanistically connected since 1826. They were administratively merged in 1926.[2]
