    Omišalj abrite l'aéroport international de Rijeka, ainsi qu'un terminal pétrolier.


    Histoire


    Omišalj est une des cités les plus anciennes de l'île de Krk. Construite par les Romains au IIIe siècle, elle était connue sous le nom de Fulfinium. Elle est également le site d'une basilique remontant aux premiers Chrétiens. Au XIIe siècle, la ville est mentionnée sous le nom de Castri musculi.

    Omišalj (Italian: Castel Muschio; German: Moschau) is a coastal municipality in the north-west of the island of Krk in Croatia. The population of Omišalj itself is 1,868 (2011), while the municipality also includes the nearby village of Njivice, bringing the total up to 2,983 people.[2] Omišalj is best known in modern times for hosting the Rijeka Airport as well as Port of Rijeka oil terminal.[3][4][5]
