Hanyang (cinese: 汉阳区; romanizzazione Wade-Giles: Han-yang) è una vasta area urbana e industriale dello sheng (provincia) dello Hubei centro-orientale, in Cina centrale. Situata sulla riva destra del fiume Han presso la sua confluenza con il fiume Yangtze (Chang Jiang), di fronte ad Hankou, è la più occidentale delle tre antiche città (l'altra è Wuchang) che attualmente costituiscono la grande conurbazione di Wuhan. Hanyang ricevette questo nome sotto la dinastia Sui (581-618 d.C.). Agli inizi del XX secolo, divenne il sito della prima industria moderna della Cina per la lavorazione di ferro e acciaio, divenendo, inoltre, una delle principali città-arsenale del Paese. Hanyang venne occupata dai giapponesi nel 1938-45, e nel 1949, dopo l'istituzione della Repubblica Popolare Cinese, venne fusa ad Hankou e Wuchang per formare Wuhan.

Der Stadtbezirk Hanyang (chinesisch .mw-parser-output .Hant{font-size:110%}漢陽區 / .mw-parser-output .Hans{font-size:110%}汉阳区, Pinyin Hànyáng Qū) ist ein Stadtbezirk der Unterprovinzstadt Wuhan, der Hauptstadt der Provinz Hubei in der Volksrepublik China. Er hat eine Fläche von 108 km² und zählt 670.000 Einwohner (Stand: Ende 2019).[1] Hanyang wurde im 20. Jahrhundert zur Industriestadt und ist die kleinste der drei Städte, aus denen Wuhan gebildet wurde.[2][en] Hanyang District
Hanyang District (simplified Chinese: 汉阳区; traditional Chinese: 漢陽區; pinyin: Hànyáng Qū) forms part of the urban core of and is one of 13 urban districts of the prefecture-level city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, China. Currently, it is a district and stands between the Han River (right/southern bank) and the Yangtze River (left/northwestern bank), where the former drains into the latter. It is connected by bridges with its former sister cities, Hankou and Wuchang. Presently, on the left bank of the Yangtze, it borders the districts of Qiaokou to the north across the Han River, Jianghan to the northeast, Caidian to the southwest, and Dongxihu to the northwest; on the opposite bank it borders Wuchang and Hongshan.
