Histoire
Pendant la Grande famine provoquée par le Grand Bond en avant, 300 000 personnes sont mortes de faim dans le district, selon l'universitaire chinois Yang Jisheng. Celui-ci mentionne de nombreux cas de cannibalisme[2].
Démographie
La population du district était de 1 364 468 habitants en 1999[3].

Der Kreis Wuwei (chinesisch .mw-parser-output .Hans{font-size:110%}无为县, Pinyin Wúwéi Xiàn) ist ein Kreis der bezirksfreien Stadt Wuhu in der chinesischen Provinz Anhui. Er hat eine Fläche von 2.449 Quadratkilometern und zählt ca. 1,39 Mio. Einwohner (2004). Sein Hauptort ist die Großgemeinde Wucheng (无城镇).[en] Wuwei, Anhui
Wuwei (simplified Chinese: 无为; traditional Chinese: 無為; pinyin: Wúwéi) is a county-level city in the southeast of Anhui Province, China, under the jurisdiction of the prefecture-level city of Wuhu.[1] Previously a county, Wuwei was upgraded to a county-level city in late 2019.[2] It has population of 1,214,000 as of 2018, and an area of 2,022 square kilometres (781 sq mi).[1] The government of Wuwei City is located in the town of Wucheng [zh].[citation needed]- [fr] Xian de Wuwei
