Démographie
La population du district était de 863 001 habitants en 2010[2], dont 37.4 % de Zhuang, groupe ethnique principalement concentré dans cette région. Elle était de 1 048 049 habitants en 1999[3], ce qui montre une diminution de la population rurale.
La ville elle-même, c'est-à-dire la partie urbaine du district, étendue sur une superficie d'environ 20 km2, est cependant en forte croissance démographique. Elle compte en 2010 environ 350 000 habitants[4] contre 180 000 habitants au début des années 2000.

Der Kreis Heng (chinesisch .mw-parser-output .Hani{font-size:110%}横县, Pinyin Héng Xiàn; Zhuang Hwngz Yen) ist ein Kreis der bezirksfreien Stadt Nanning, der Hauptstadt des Autonomen Gebietes Guangxi der Zhuang-Nationalität im Süden der Volksrepublik China. Hengzhou (Chinese: 横州; pinyin: Héngzhōu Shì), formerly, Heng County or Hengxian (simplified Chinese: 横县; traditional Chinese: 橫縣; pinyin: Héng Xiàn; Standard Zhuang: Hwngz Yen) is a county-level city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, it is under the administration of the prefecture-level city of Nanning, the capital of Guangxi, with a permanent population of 863,001 and a hukou population of 1,200,521[4] as of the 2010 Census. The easternmost county-level division of Nanning City, it borders the prefecture-level cities of Guigang to the northeast, Yulin to the east, and Qinzhou to the south. 60% speak Pinghua as there mother tongue and a further 30% speak Pingua as a second language.[5] The county-level city was approved and elevated by the former Heng County by the State Council on February 3, 2021.- [fr] Xian de Heng
