Géographie

Il forme une péninsule étroite, au relief accidenté, entre le Yangzi (Chang Jiang) et le Jialing, juste avant leur confluent.

Sa superficie est de 23,71 km², et son altitude est comprise entre 160 et 379 m.

La population du district était d'environ 630 100 habitants en 2010.

Yuzhong (chinesisch .mw-parser-output .Hans{font-size:110%}渝中区, Pinyin Yúzhōng Qū) ist ein Stadtbezirk der regierungsunmittelbaren Stadt Chongqing im Südwesten der Volksrepublik China. Er hat eine Fläche von 21,9 km². Bei Volkszählungen in den Jahren 2000 und 2010 wurden in Yuzhong 664.942 bzw. 630.090 Einwohner gezählt.[1] Die Hu-Guang Huiguan in Chongqing prägen den Stadtbezirk.

Yuzhong District (simplified Chinese: 渝中区; traditional Chinese: 渝中區; pinyin: yúzhōng qū; lit. 'Chongqing Central District') is the central district and heart of Chongqing municipality. It is the capital of the municipality and is also the political, economical, and entertainment center of the city of Chongqing.[1] Located in the central portion of Yuzhong is the Jiefangbei CBD, a leading business and financial center of western China.[citation needed]
