Sorel-Tracy ist eine Stadt im Südwesten der kanadischen Provinz Québec. Sie liegt in der Region Montérégie, etwa 80 Kilometer nördlich von Montreal. Sorel-Tracy ist der Hauptort der Regionalgemeinde Pierre-De Saurel, hat eine Fläche von 57,46 km² und zählt 34.755 Einwohner (Stand: 2016). Sorel-Tracy (/sɔːˈrɛl træˈsiː/; French: [sɔʁɛl tʁaˈsi]) is a city in southwestern Quebec, Canada and the geographical end point of the Champlain Valley. It is located at the confluence of the Richelieu River and the St. Lawrence River, on the western edge of Lac Saint-Pierre, downstream and northeast of Montreal. The population as of the Canada 2011 Census was 34,600. Its mayor is Serge Péloquin and it is the seat of the Pierre-De Saurel Regional County Municipality and the judicial district of Richelieu.[7][fr] Sorel-Tracy
