Coral Harbour (Inuktitut: Salliit; ᓴᓪᓖᑦ) è un piccolo insediamento Inuit situato nell'Isola di Southampton, nella Regione di Kivalliq, nel territorio canadese del Nunavut. Il nome deriva dal corallo presente nelle acque presso il centro abitato, mentre il termine tradizionale Inuktitut è Salliq, che significa "piatto".

Coral Harbour è l'unico centro del Nunavut dove non viene utilizzata l'ora legale, restando sempre in linea con la North American Eastern Time Zone.

Il paese è raggiungibile solo con l'aereo, mentre gli spostamenti all'interno dell'isola sono possibili solo grazie a mezzi battipista (slitta) e all'aereo. L'isola ha una ricca fauna che conta tra gli altri: caribù, orsi polari, foche, trichechi, girifalchi e raramente falchi pellegrini.

Coral Harbour, Territorium Nunavut, Region Kivalliq liegt an der Südküste der Southampton-Insel am nördlichen Rand der Hudson Bay. Die Siedlung trägt den Inuktitut-Namen Salliq (ᓴᓪᓕᖅ/ᓴᓪᓖᑦ), „große flache Insel vor dem Festland“, und hat fast 900 Einwohner (davon 94 % Inuit). Der Name Coral Harbour verweist darauf, dass hier in Zeiten wärmeren Klimas Korallen wuchsen, deren Fossilien noch heute gefunden werden.

Coral Harbour (Inuktitut: Salliq/Salliit, Syllabics: ᓴᓪᓕᖅ/ᓴᓪᓖᑦ),[6][7][8][9] is a small Inuit community that is located on Southampton Island, Kivalliq Region, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Its name is derived from the fossilized coral that can be found around the waters of the community which is situated at the head of South Bay. The name of the settlement in Inuktitut is Salliq, sometimes used to refer to all of Southampton Island.[10] The plural Salliit, means large flat island(s) in front of the mainland.[6][11]

La communauté est située à tête de la baie South au nord de la baie d'Hudson. Coral Harbour est la seule communauté du Nunavut qui n'applique pas l'heure d'été en demeurant dans le fuseau horaire de l'heure de l'Est à longueur d'année.
