Tatul (Armenian: Թաթուլ); known as Pirmalak or Firmalak until 1935 and Areg until 2006, is a village in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. The village was inhabited by Azerbaijanis until 1918.[1] The village was renamed after the First Nagorno-Karabakh War commander and the National Hero of Armenia Tatul Krpeyan, who was born in the village.
