Lal (La'l)[5] (Dari: لعل) sometimes called Lal wa Sarjangal[2] (لعل و سرجنگل) is a town and the administrative center of Lal wa Sarjangal District, Ghor Province, Afghanistan. The district is located in the east of Cheghgharan, the center of Ghor, in a distance of 75 miles. The district contains at least 800 villages. The total population was announced 250,000 in 2013, but in 2019 the survey and estimation by the ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development announced that the population is 336,500. Lal Wa Sarjangal has borders with Sangtakht and bandar of Daikundi, with Yakawlang and Panjab of Bamiyan, with the Balkhab or Sar-e-Pol and with Dawlatyar.
