La contea di Jefferson in inglese Jefferson County è una contea dello Stato del Texas, negli Stati Uniti. La popolazione al censimento del 2010 era di 252 273 abitanti.[1] Il capoluogo di contea è Beaumont.[2] La contea è stata creata nel 1835 come una municipalità del Messico, mentre è stata organizzata come contea texana nel 1837.[3][4] Il suo nome deriva da Thomas Jefferson, terzo presidente degli Stati Uniti (1801–1809).[4]
