La regione di Jambyl (in kazako: Жамбыл облысы?, traslitterato: Jambyl oblysy; in russo: Жамбылская область?, traslitterato: Žambylskaja oblast'), nota altresì con la denominazione di regione di Taraz, dal nome del suo capoluogo, è una regione del Kazakistan, situata nella parte sudorientale del Paese ai confini con il Kirghizistan; è delimitata ad est, nord e ovest, rispettivamente, dalle regioni di Qaraǧandy, del Kazakistan Meridionale e di Almaty.

Il territorio regionale si estende dalle falde delle catene montuose meridionali (Tien Shan) ai bassopiani desertici che si estendono nel Kazakistan centrale; all'estremità nordorientale arriva a toccare il lago Balqaš, che si estende però per la quasi totalità al di fuori dei confini della regione. Il paesaggio è prevalentemente steppico, vista l'estrema continentalità e aridità del clima.
Il capoluogo della regione è Taraz, che accentra circa un terzo della popolazione totale; altre cittadine con qualche rilievo sono Ču, sul fiume omonimo e Qaratau, alle falde orientali della catena montuosa omonima.
Un interessante sito archeologico incluso nella lista provvisoria UNESCO è il Santuario di Merke.

Jambyl or Zhambyl Region (Kazakh: Жамбыл облысы, romanized: Jambyl oblysy; Russian: Жамбылская область, romanized: Zhambylskaya oblast), formerly known as Dzhambul Region (Russian: Джамбульская область, romanized: Dzhambulskaya Oblast) until 1991, is a region of Kazakhstan. Its capital is Taraz. The population of the region is 1,000,000; the city is 335,100. The region borders Kyrgyzstan, and is very near to Uzbekistan (all to the south). Jambyl also borders three other provinces: Karaganda Region (to the north), Turkistan Region (to the west) and Almaty Region (to the east). The total area is 144,200 square kilometres (55,700 sq mi). The province borders Lake Balkhash to its northeast. The province (and its capital during the Soviet era) was named after the Kazakh akyn (folk singer) Jambyl Jabayev.- [it] Regione di Jambyl
